Les S. Moore (Stephon Walker)

Stephon Walker as Les S. Moore

You may have seen Les on the wall at your local post office, or the Las Vegas Casino Commission’s lifetime ban list. He is one of the world’s top stage pickpockets, is widely believed to be the actual D.B. Cooper, and is a compulsive liar.

Rachel Hynes and Francesca Chilcote

Rachel Hynes - Bound by no rules, Rachel devises collaborative, innovative performances and help others develop new works as an educator and consultant. From 2006-2011, Rachel was the Co-Artistic Director of avant garde performance group, Helsinki Syndrome, creating in Seattle, Portland, New York and London. Rachel earned her MFA in Lecoq Based Actor Created Theatre from Naropa University at the London International School for the Arts (LISPA). Her masters work focuses on feminist performance and the commedia dell'arte.

Together, Rachel and Francesca are devising LadyM, a physical comedy about witches, powerful women and blood. In brief, it's a clown show about menstruation. Please laugh.

Dr. Dour and Peach

Monster Songs at Clown Cabaret February 2017 at the Trinidad Theatre at Logan-Fringe Arts Space

Dr. Dour (vocals, 10-string touch-guitar) and Peach (cello, banjo, cute) tell the personal stories of lovesick mummies, giant lizards, bargain-hunting zombies, and other hapless creatures of the night in a cabaret cocktail of original songs. The pair (Toby Mulford and Rachel Spicknall Mulford) is based in Washington, DC (there's good monster-watching there), and has appeared at the Capital Fringe Festival, the Clown Cabaret, and other venues.

Toby Mulford is an educator, actor, and playwright specializing in ensemble-created physical theater. He is the Artistic Director of Faction of Fools Theatre Company and the Associate Artistic Director of Traveling Players Ensemble. He holds an MFA in ensemble-based physical theater from the Dell'Arte International School of Physical Theatre. His plays have been produced at the Dell'Arte Company (California), the Brick Playhouse (Philadelphia), and the Festival of Animated Objects (Calgary, Canada).

Rachel Spicknall Mulford is an actor and teaching artist, and on staff at Faction of Fools Theatre Company here in Washington, DC. She holds a BA in Theater from the University of Maryland, and has studied at the National Theater Institute, the St. Petersburg State Theatre Arts Academy, Gardzienice, and the Center for Movement Theater.

Happenstance Theatre

HAPPENSTANCE THEATER, founded in 2006, is a professional company committed to devising, producing and touring original, performer-created visual, poetic Theatre. Our ensemble has been developing work together since 2012, and has garnered 5 Helen Hayes Awards. We are multi-talented performers who craft all aspects of our pieces from concept to performance. Under the Artistic co-Direction of Mark Jaster and Sabrina Mandell, we harvest imagery from the past and re-contextualize it in performances that address eternal themes of life, death, and the ephemeral. With the simplest means - movement, silence, theatrical clown, music, text, physical comedy and beauty - we seek to elevate the moment when the performers and audience meet, to lift the encounter beyond the daily and pedestrian into the realms of dreams, poetry, and art. Meaning is often discovered by happenstance.

Marian DeAngelo

Marian DeAngelo with her Jacks are Wild, is a three dog tricks performance. Two of the dogs are Jack Russells, the third is a Jack of All Trades (Border Collie/mini Aussie mix) who joined the pack in January 2018 as an 11 week old pup and has been performing since the summer of 2018. We put our show on for senior centers, libraries, camps, birthday parties and special events. We consider our act entertaining and amusing, and most definitely, always a work in progress.
